What some of our client's say about these trips
Wayne S. AU "I just wanted to pass on our thanks. This trek was a once in a life-time experience. The cabins were great, the food very local (eg. moose stew), the huskys were so friendly and adorable and the general area so untouched and uncommercial - which is a rare find these days. The trek itself was amazing - such a sense of true natural beauty - surreal comes to mind - the landscape, the snow, sleighing across frozen lakes, the lack of sun (just 4 hours of dusk each day in late December) and literally no one else in sight for 3 whole days!!"
Catherine M. - UK "It was a privilege to experience such a beautiful part of Norway. It was also great to be able to get up and running without any prior experience in mushing [SM0 or SM1]. The guides we had were really great, giving us interesting facts about the environment etc., and the dogs where wonderful !"
T.K. - UK "We found the lodge buildings and the staff warm and friendly. The dog sledding was much better and more exciting than I thought it would be, with the highlights being the breakneck downhill sections and seeing the Northern Lights [mid January] - a real bonus. We covered a 50 mile circuit over the high plateau of arctic Norway, each with a four husky sled team, across frozen rivers through lowland forest to bleak upland wilderness, with many careering downhill runs through snowscaped dwarf birch woods in the dark. The dogs ran at 20mph on the flat, and much faster downhill. It was exciting . . . and we saw a terrific display of the northern lights, for about 30 minutes. The temperature did not drop below minus fifteen. Surprisingly, everyone managed to avoid injury although we all had a few bruises, we all fell off from time to time, I fell off the most and managed to split my sledge in two on the last day. We were stiff in the mornings from the four or five hours sledding each day. All of us [12 yr old and 2 x 20 something plus dad] enjoyed this holiday very much, we are going back next year."
P.K. - UK "I have spent the last 2 days back at home trying to explain to my friends and family how amazing my stay in Lapland was, but I cant seem to emphasise exactly the impact its had upon me. I was overwhelmed by the graciousness and kindness of you all, and so welcoming too. There was so many parts that made our trip so special, but specifically, the huskies, the northern lights [mid January], the gorgeous food, the enchanting serene landscape, the 'cabin olympics'!, lessons in birch, the snow, the decor in your cabins, and best of all the dog sledding down a track that felt like a toboggan run, falling off and getting dragged along, it was all brilliant. Finn and Cristel were so patient and helpful, and their calmness made us feel very relaxed and comfortable. And the dogs, they were so crazy and lovely, and so strong! We saw many reindeer and an elk on our journey to and from your lodge, so our Norway encounter felt very complete. Thank you so much, you have a truly special lifestyle and I feel very privileged to have had this experience."

"We were not entirely sure what to expect as far as the accommodation was concerned, but despite the fact that the only toilets were outside the cabin the accommodation in general was lovely and very unique. Our hosts provided great food and personal service while at the lodge. Kristal was a fantastic guide and really made the holiday what it was! Pre-departure info was good, especially the kit list! In general the organisation prior to the trip was very good and the personal service on the trip was excellent. Also liked the philosophy of Muir's Tours as outlined on your website. Myself and John had a wonderful, unique and very memorable holiday. The accommodation, food and service was excellent, the dogs were fantastic and I would very much like to travel with Muirs tours again - I'll start saving! Cheers, K. and J."
