Maasai Mara's Dream Camp

Dream Camp is often booked up 12 - 18 months ahead - Please enquire in good time
The Facilities
Just 15 individually designed static tents with private bathrooms (toilet, wash basin and shower), each with chairs and a table on a deck for relaxation in private. All tents are doubles, so the maximum number of guests is 30.
Local guides and 4X4 vehicles for wildlife watching.
Teams of Maasai warriors for walking safaris.
Communal areas for relaxation, dining, lectures (with projection equipment) and wildlife viewing.
Emergency communication by satellite phone.
Two additional camps in the bush. For two people minimum, up to 12 maximum, these camps are often reserved by private parties, honeymoon couples and insatiable adventurers.
Responsible Tourism
Working together with our Maasai hosts, researchers and environmental organisations, we have developed the Dream Camp concept. The camp is one of the most ecologically friendly camps in Africa. Our electricity (220V) and hot water are generated using solar power. All the waste water from the tents and the kitchen is used to irrigate more than 3,000 trees, and all the kitchen waste is separated and composted. The local Maasai clan are stakeholders and benefit greatly from your tourism.
A walking safari brings you closer to nature, always with the protection of our Maasai hosts.

What makes the Maasai Mara different from other places in Africa ?
• Easily accessible from Europe. An afternoon flight from a number of western European airports will see you arrive in the Maasai Mara at the civilised hour of 11am the following morning.
• In the Maasai Mara and the Serengeti the density of animals is 10 to 20 times greater than anywhere else in Africa at certain times of the year. Open savannah makes it easier to observe the animals while providing ample opportunity to experience some of the greatest predators of the natural world.
• The biggest migration of large animals in the world. At its peak, the migration sees more than a million wildebeest, zebra and antelopes on the move. Followed, of course, by lions, leopards and hyenas …
• Bird watching. Kenya has 1114 registered
bird species and you can see more than 300 of these in the immediate vicinity of
the camp.
• Maasai culture. As their ancestors did before them, the Maasai still live with their cattle amongst the wild animals of the savannah. The Maasai are our partners and benefit greatly from your visits.
• A combination of National Park and extensive wilderness ideally suited for walking safaris and bush camps.
The views from the lodge are quite extensive

during the morning and another in the afternoon that in total adds up to 7
hours. If you wanted a 2 hour night drive that same evening the cost will be
for one extra hour (over the 8 hours) of your guides time / plus vehicle costs
(fuel, wear and tear etc.) at USD23 per person.
