Flights from the UK

We will provide you with details of suitable flights from the UK at the time of booking Mushing package.

 

Flights are usually booked with SAS or Finnair or the low cost carriers.

RyanAir is not a good option as they have a seperate airport south of Oslo which involves 5 hours of extra travel by bus.

 

Ideally you should have a flight schedule that has a day spare either end of the trip as delays due to weather can be a problem.

The Finnair price range is similar for flights from London to Ivalo. Book direct on Finn Air.  http://www.finnair.com/

Bus services .  There are frequent buses in the north of Lappland, but you need to carefully plan the flight schedule to avoid the need a hotel near the airport. We will provide details of bus services dependent upon which location you are assigned to.

Travel Insurance

Comprehensive personal insurance, including search and rescue is required on this trip. For UK clients we recommend the policies of the British Mountaineering Council, for their expertise in evacuation from remote areas worldwide.
