Bushmanland Trail - Horse Riding Safari plus Culture

This horse ride is designed for the less able rider and gives extra time to ensuring you get an understanding of the country, the wildlife and the people.

We head into Eden Wildlife Sanctuary which covers nearly 70,000 acres, in north western Namibia. Eden was formed in the 70s when the Jooste family made plans to encourage the native wildlife to return and thrive in the area. They used very sound wildlife management practices. In the Eden Wildlife Sanctuary you will find sable, giraffe, kudu, eland, springbok, gemsbok, red hartebeest, blue and black wildebeest, warthog, impala, cheetah, leopard, elephant and black rhino, which are all doing well.

We also have a wonderful chance to meet the bushmen and they allow us to learn a few of their skills and we see how they spend their daily life.

Shekahawati Forts & Palaces Horse Ride

In Rajasthan the descendants of the Rajas and Maharajahs have turned their palaces into hotels. Heritage Hotels is a grouping of 50 such gems, and if you are prepared to face the occasional technical imperfection and eccentricity of service or understanding, a visit to such locations give a rare insight into the world of princely India now largely lost. This horse ride incorporates some of these atmospheric hotels.

The route through the Shekahawati region of Rajasthan will allow you to experience picturesque villages and farms. The group will ride about 20 to 30 Kms a day with a lunch halt and also breaks for tea, coffee and refreshments. The riding is not technical, but is not considered suitable for novice riders.

Mongolia

A journey of discovery with nomads
The Khangai Mountain range in Central Mongolia is drained by some of Mongolia's mightiest Rivers. The Orkhon is the most famous of them and for tens of thousands of years the Orkhon has provided drinking water, and was therefore a magnet to the nomadic people. They travelled around in search of fresh grazing for their animals on the steppes of Arkhangai and the slopes of the Khangai Mountains and often returned to the Orkhon. Their lifestyle has changed little over the centuries - they still herd their sheep with horse and yak, protecting them against the harsh winter and the wolves.
