Mongolia
- Ger Camps - Tuul Valley - Khentii Hills

Our summer
ger camp with a nomadic family as hosts with horse riding.
The area
where this eco-friendly ger camp is situated where the steppe meets the
beautiful Khentii Mountains. Adjacent to taiga forests in the uppermost parts of
the Tuul River Valley, and a mere day's ride civilisation. Hence, there are
steppe valleys, meadows along the Tuul River, larch forests with patches of
birch. Wildlife such as wolf, lynx, brown bear, red deer, gazelle, moose, wild
boar are certainly present but hard to see during the summer. Jalman Meadows is
located in the autumn and winter pastures of nomadic herders of Erdene soum. A
few remain, but most families vacate the area with their animals to allow for
good seasonal pasture. North from the meadows it is complete wilderness, and in
a two day hike south, you will find the summer pastures of the nomadic families.
This is the reason for a profusion of wildflowers around Jalman Meadows.
Kindly bear in mind that Mongolia has a limited experience in tourism compared
to many other countries so the level of service you receive will vary.
