Lakota Country - South Dakota and
westwards
In the beautiful Lakota country of south Dakota, ride into the setting sun as we
head west towards the Rockies on a 15 day horse trek in June each year, or other
spectacular but shorter routes. These
will include the Owl River-Morreau River, the Belle Fouche and Cheyenne River
trails. There is a route from Thunder Butte to Slim Buttes and on to the Powder
River area or, start from Bear Butte going into the Black Hills to Slim Butte.
Rich culture is a very important part of these experiences and for the full flavour try a few nights at the traditional Tipi Village - it is set up as life was circa 1790.
