The NKF provides support to the Nepalese community in the UK and the poor of Nepal.

Wishing to maintain and foster self respect in the people and sustainability, the support in Nepal is given through professionally guided community projects where the community are involved fully at all stages.

Many projects and activities have been completed since the organisation was founded and many more are underway. Some of the current projects in Nepal are: water supplies for various villages; books and other teaching aids for numerous schools; various community projects in Panglang, an area close to Tibet, high in the Bhote Khosi Valley (north central Nepal).

We are in the planning stage of a community "Trade for Aid" project in the remote Makalu Barun area, which looks very exciting.
