Muir's Tours - Galapagos Legend |
It is the larger ships that generally take you to the more remote islands in the Galapagos archipelago. And the Legend does it in style, pampering you when needed. Commissioned in 2001, this 100 passenger cruise ship is the dream ship if you are wanting to relax in hotel type luxury. If the tight spaces of a small boat are not for you, read on...

She is fully air conditioned with all the commodities of a cruise liner, yet small enough for that intimate experience. She is energy efficient and complies with all the standard ecological requirements and more, so that fits well with your thoughts about nature and wildlife.
Guests can benefit from the added comfort of extra space in the fully carpeted luxurious cabins. Most with ocean views, wardrobes, and private facilities offering hot and cold water, hair dryer, safe deposit box and other amenities. Only 3 of the cabins are internally located and have no windows.
The crew of 60 highly trained hotel and ship crew are eager to please and carry out their work with pride. There is a qualified doctor on call 24 hours a day. There are 6 multilingual naturalist guides, giving a ratio of 1 guide to 15 passengers, when the ship is full.
Other facilities include an auditorium for conferences, spacious social areas, culinary delights from the kitchen, 24 hour coffee bar, swimming pool with broad sun decks and observation platforms. At night guests can enjoy live music at the piano lounge, cocktail bars, computers equipped with games and internet access, or keep in touch with family and friends using our long distance call facility.

There are only three docks in the islands where the Legend can tie up, Baltra, Puerto Ayora and Darwin Research Station.
Services: There is a public lounge with bar, dancing and nightly live music entertainment, gift shop, swimming pool, sun deck, library and laundry service. The spacious dining room has an outside view. There is a Doctor on call 24 hrs a day.
