Beluga Whales, Birds & Blooms

Beluga Whales, Birds and a Blooming Tundra

Churchill Manitoba - The Summer

Ice break-up in spring brings droves of beluga whales to the Churchill River. The beluga whales enjoy the summer months of July and August in the Churchill River where the river water is warmer than the ocean water and the whales are able to feed on crustaceans. The summer is a great time to visit Churchill and we offer exciting itineraries including beluga whale watching, snorkelling, kayaking, hiking and town and area tours. As well, you'll have time to enjoy other attractions in Churchill such as the Eskimo Museum, Parks Canada facility and the town complex. Visitors can choose from a number of gift shops where souvenirs range from postcards to hand-made Inuit wall hangings and stone carvings. This tour offers a complete programme in Churchill and we can add hotels and other services in Winnipeg or tours elsewhere in Canada according to your wishes
