Muir's Tours - polar bears |

The Adventurer Tours provide 2 or 3 full days on the tundra, but unlike the other tours, we do not provide a naturalist guide, so the cost is lower. Information is given by the tundra buggy's knowledgeable driver.
The Enthusiast Tours offer local history and culture in addition to viewing the bears. You slowly travel around Gordon Point, the heart of the best bear country in the Churchill area. Nights are either spent in hotels in Churchill or you can sleep over in the Tundra Buggy Lodge. Some of these have 36 hours of rail travel to or from Churchill built in.
The Wilderness Lodge tours were designed for active wildlife enthusiasts only and include time walking on the tundra with three nights in a wilderness lodge and one night in Churchill. Some polar bear viewing by vehicle and some on foot.
Some of our tours are based in Churchill hotels and you travel each day onto the tundra. Other groups are based in special Mobile Tundra Lodges, which are set up each season on the tundra, allowing 24 hour observation of the bears and the Northern Lights. Other options are a 2 way combination Specialist package with 2 or 3 nights in the Tundra Lodge and other nights in Churchill giving 4 or more full days on the tundra. More about the Mobile Tundra Lodge
The Ultimate Prime Time Tour is for the person who is fanatical about polar bears or nature photography.
The Black & White Tours give you the chance to see both black bears and polar bears in one trip.
Cape Tatnam Denning Area is the place to see mothers and cubs during the late summer and early autumn. Our lodge provides a base near the denning area, with the bears coming to you at the lodge fence. Scheduled tours out from the lodge on our All Terrain Vehicles to see the polar bears in various locations in the Cape Tatnam Wildlife Management Area.
Please note all our trips can be extended by adding extra days in various cities or other wildlife areas.
Churchill is a wilderness frontier town so on all tours please note the accommodation is adequate, but not fancy.
